This brainchild of Mr. Hitesh H Lakhani & Mr.Alpesh H Lakhani was founded in the year 1996 in Mumbai as a partnership by the merger of their practices.

The firm at that time had established itself predominantly in taxation matters. The practice grew and with it the firm started to establish itself in audit and consultancy services.

A significant development in the growth of the firm came in the year 1998 when Mr.Sameer H Arora & Mr. Ketan V Lakhani were introduced as the partners of the Firm.

Mr. Ketan V Lakhani, Chartered Accountant was in the capital market for 13 years & his experience enabled the firm to manage the clientele in the stock market.

Mr. Sameer H Arora, Chartered accountant had done his articleship with the firm and he became the youngest partner to be admitted in the firm.

In 2003, Lakhani & Lakhani took over another CA firm "R V Sheth & Co." which was a brainchild of Mr. Ramesh Sheth practicing in this field since 1968 and absorbed him as a partner effective from April 1, 2003.

On 16th September 2003, as the sphere of activities of the firm grew, the firm inducted Mrs. Shefali S Arora, Chartered Accountant as a partner to look after the prestigious outsourcing assignment of Century Rayon ltd.

In the year 2004 Mrs Sunita Menon & Mr. Suhas Shinde were admitted as partners to look after audit & indirect tax areas respectively.

With just two partners at the time of its inception, the firm has grown by leaps & bounds with presently eight full time partners providing valuable services in taxation-direct & indirect, audit, software development & management consultancy.
